Sometime between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm on September 10, 2008 unknown suspects attended the former Seneca Township property and stole a 1978 GMC Elcamino. The vehicle is described as being black with two white hood stripes and it also very loud. The vehicle was locked and had the keys were not accessible at the time of the theft.

Break & Enter In Selkirk

Crime Stoppers needs your anonymous tips to help solve a Break Enter and Theft that happened at a business in Selkirk ON Haldimand County.

Sometime over night on August 27th 2008, the business located on Main St W was forcibly entered. Once inside the business the suspect(s) removed computer towers, monitors, tools and a small amount of cash. Upon further investigation it was determined that the property fence had been pried open. One of the computer monitors was recovered in the long grass in the area nearby.

ATV Theft on Concession #8

Crime Stoppers needs your anonymous tips to help solve the report of a theft from a former Townsend Township address in Norfolk County.

On May 2, 2008 at around 6:30 pm a young male attended the Concession Road #8 property inquiring about an ATV that was for sale. The owner of the ATV started the machine for the interested party. This suspect then rode it out onto the road and sped away in an easterly direction. The vehicle and driver who had dropped the suspect male off also sped away. Both vehicles were then observed returning past the victim’s property, this time in a westerly direction on Concession Road 8.

The suspect in this case is described as a white male about 5’8” tall with short strawberry blond hair and blue eyes wearing a coat and blue jeans. The suspect vehicle is described as a black, newer model Chevrolet Avalanche.

ATV Theft in Hagersville.

Sometime between February 9 – 10, 2008, unknown suspects attended on a King Street property and used a saw to cut the lock off of a chain that was being used to secure an ATV to a fence. Culprits then stole the ATV which is described as being a green 2000 Yamaha 600 Grizzly with a ball-hitch and winch on the front, an aftermarket fender on the back, oversized mud tires and a green windscreen. Suspects left a bicycle, back pack, saw, flashlight and wire strippers behind at the scene of the theft. Do you know who is responsible for this theft? Do you know the location of this stolen ATV?

During the late evening and early morning hours on different days over the past few weeks, several vehicles have been stolen from various areas in the Haldimand and Norfolk areas. The majority of the vehicles are at least 10 to 15 years old and are of a lower dollar value. It appears that the vehicles are being stolen merely for point to point transportation or for “joy riding” purposes and the majority of the vehicles have been recovered with minimal damage.

To help prevent your vehicle from being stolen, always ensure your vehicle is locked and parked in a well-lit area. Never leave your vehicle unattended and running, even for a moment; and never leave valuables in your vehicle.

On December 31, 2007 at approximately 4:45 unknown suspects broke into the LCBO through a southeast glass panel window by breaking it. Once inside, culprits stole an undisclosed amount of liquor. Damage is estimated at over $1000 in this case.

Armed Robbery Remains Unsolved

Crime Stoppers needs your anonymous tips to help solve an armed robbery that occurred on Haldimand Road 20 in New Credit. On October 28, 2007 at approximately 4:00 pm a black Pontiac Grand Am pulled up to the drive through window of C&C Smoke Shop just as the employee was getting ready to close for the day. The lone male driver of the vehicle pointed what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash. The suspect fled westbound on Indian Line after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect in this case is described as being a male with a slim build wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark ball cap, red bandana, dark sunglasses and dark cloth gloves. The suspect vehicle is described as a mid to late 90’s, 2 door black Pontiac Grand Am with a loud exhaust.

Sometime between August 2007 and October 2007 unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered via a window and once inside ransacked and vandalized the ship. Many tools, parts, equipment and a generator were removed from the ship. This rare ship is the Canadian Marine Heritage Museum's flagship project as it is the former Royal Canadian Navy Ship Fairmile sub chaser Q051/Radel II. Theft from ATM – Selkirk Remains Unsolved

Crime Stoppers still needs your help to solve the report of a theft from an ATM machine from the CIBC Bank located at 1 Main Street in Selkirk, Haldimand County. On June 27, 2007 at approximately 2:30 am, two unknown suspects entered the ATM vestibule at the CIBC bank. Once inside, suspects sprayed paint on the windows of the vestibule and attacked the ATM by drilling the front case of the machine. Suspects then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the machine and fled the scene through the front door. They were last seen headed westbound on foot. Both suspects are described as being men, approximately 6 feet tall. The first suspect was wearing a black balaclava, black gloves, baggy dark pants, white running shoes and a navy blue jacket with a hood and carrying a black duffle bag. The second suspect was wearing a black balaclava, a black shiny leather type jacket, white baggy pants, black shoes and carrying a black backpack. Break & Enter on Concession 11

Crime Stoppers needs your help to solve the report of a break and enter at a large lumberyard on Concession 11, Walpole Township, Haldimand County. Sometime overnight on July 25th, 2007 unknown suspects entered the rear of the compound by forcing open the gates. Once inside the suspects drove an unknown semi-tractor truck into the yard and hooked onto a trailer already loaded with lumber. The suspect left the scene eastbound on Concession 10. The trailer is a 1998 blue TITA TRA valued at ,000.00 and was loaded with assorted pieces of lumber valued at over ,000.00. The lumber is covered with plastic labelled TFI. On June 13th, 2007 sometime overnight unknown suspects attended at the business and forcibly entered. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. During the same time period, Nottingham's Truck Parts on Main St. S. Hagersville also fell victim to a smash and grab where a small amount of cash was stolen. Robbery at Godfathers

On March 24, 2007 at approximately 1:15 am, two unknown suspects attended at the Godfather’s Pizza on Main Street in Hagersville and confronted a female employee of the restaurant who was getting into her vehicle at the time. The employee, who had an undisclosed amount of money, was able to get into her vehicle, lock the doors and start the engine of her vehicle before both suspects fled the scene on foot. They were last seen running in the alley behind the pizza place. The first suspect is described as being 5’6” tall with a medium build and the second suspect is described as being 5’8” tall with a skinny build. Both suspects were wearing dark clothing and ski masks. Robbery at Jarvis Food Market

On December 12, 2005 at approximately 8:15 PM a man armed with a rifle and wearing a black ski mask entered the Jarvis Food Market located on Main St North in Jarvis in Haldimand County. He approached an employee and handed her a note demanding that cash be place in a duffle bag. A customer was able to leave the scene unharmed. As the employee began emptying the tills, the suspect went to the LCBO outlet inside the store and took a 3 litre bottle of Crown Royal. He then returned to the front counter, grabbed the duffle bag and escaped through the front door. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’ 10” to 6 feet tall, with a medium build, wearing blue coveralls and a black ski mask. Vandalisim at Local Dealership

On January 2, 2007 at approximately 8:45 pm police were advised that an unknown male was observed spray painting several motor vehicles at a local dealership in the area. While investigating the damage to these three vehicles, police discovered more mischief at a neighboring law office. In this case, a window was damaged. The suspect in both of these cases is described as being male, approximately 18 years of age, having a shaved head and wearing a lumber jacket and jeans.
